Privacy policy

poolcostguide.com ("we") is an independent pool cost guide. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and your choices. Updated 2026-10-26.

What we collect

Estimate inputs: ZIP code, pool type, size, features, timeline, budget band, financing preference and any notes you type. These are stored even if you do not submit contact details, without any identifier that links them to you.
Contact details when you request an estimate: name, email, mobile phone, optional street address and best time to call.
Consent record: the exact consent text you agreed to, its version, the date and time, your IP address, browser user agent and the page URL. We keep this as evidence of your consent under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
Marketing attribution: UTM parameters and ad click identifiers (gclid, fbclid) from the link you arrived on, and the referring page.
Analytics and advertising cookies (Google Analytics 4, Meta pixel) only after you accept the cookie banner.

How we use it

To calculate and send your estimate.
To share your request with a local pool builder, only after you have checked the consent box.
To contact you by phone, text and email about your pool request. Reply STOP to any text to opt out of texts; every email has an unsubscribe link.
To measure which pages and ads bring people here, if you accepted cookies.
To detect spam and abuse (Cloudflare Turnstile).

Who we share it with

A local pool builder who serves your area, who may use it only for your pool project and may not resell it.
Service providers that run our systems: Cloudflare (hosting, database, anti-spam), GoHighLevel (CRM, email and SMS delivery) and its messaging carriers, and Google and Meta for analytics and advertising if you accepted cookies.
Authorities when the law requires it.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with other builders or lead brokers.

Your choices

Text STOP to stop texts; click unsubscribe in any email; tell the builder or us to stop calling.
Decline or withdraw cookie consent using the banner or your browser settings.
Email hello@poolcostguide.com to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. We keep consent records as long as needed to document consent, and lead records for up to three years.
